Missouri Trails Society is currently working with property owners to hold the 2014 event next year.  Once the deal is finalized and approved, we will annouce the location and date.

Please continue to utilize the Bicennential Park trail as it is still availble for individuals to ride.  Our "Trail Crew" has maintained the trail and will continue to for recreational use.

It is with great disappointment to have to make this announcement.  The Le Tour De Tic Mountain bike race will NOT be held this 2013 cycling season at Bicentennial  Park in Neosho, MO.

The local Missouri Department of Conservation will not issue a permit for the race as it is not in their mission and the race as we have had there for years is actually not a approved event.

The trails are still maintained and ride-able by Rick Keezer and the trail crew.  The trail will not go away and can still be used for recreational use only, not organized events.

Keep checking back, we are actively looking for an alternate race location to hold this event.

The Missouri Trails Society and the event name "Le Tour De Tic" have been secured and will remain an active not for profit organization and event.  We just have to come up with a new home.

Trail Work Day

Trail work day next Tuesday April 24 4-8 PM come for any time during then. Needing weed-eaters and loppers to do cleanup. Even if you don't have those we can still put you to work. Any help would be great!

Make sure to sign up by next Friday April 20th to get the best price!

Rufus Racing Web Site is Currently Down

Rufus Racing web site is currently down (03/14).  Ruth said her server is having some issues.  As soon as it is back up and going, there will be a link on the blog site to registure online.  Thank you for your patence and understanding.  Meanwhile, GET READY TO RUMBLE with the TICK!

Course Maintenance, cut in of new section!!!!


Rick needs all of our help this Saturday about 4:30 at Bicentennial park.  Everyone come with gloves, leaf blowers rakes, etc.  We will be cutting in a new section of trail.  Rick thinks that we just need to pull out some over growth and blow off the trail with a little raking.

It shouldn't take long, maybe a couple of hours.

RACE DAY SET FOR 2012

Race day has been set!  Sunday, May 6th 2012!  More details to follow.  We will be holding this event in association with USA Cycling and Rufus Racing!  GREAT time to be had by all.  Same great swag, nathan dogs, beverages and raffles...........

Oh yea - no rain today, Cloudy & Sunny all at the same time and ...74 deg.

Weather Update Oh Yea!!

It has been flat out beautiful the last two days - weather report for Sat is scattered T storms (no problem for Le Tick). and then Sunday....

PM Showers!!!  We be racing in the morning and afternoon baby!

Update

Trail is in good condition - rough spots, smooth spots, climbing, descending etc etc.  Some ground markings were up last night - some more tonight and big push Sat on trail grooming.
Weather??? who knows. Thurs and today are gorgeous, sun is out and drying anything wet. Sat is 30% chance of "isolated thunderstorms" and Sun is 30% chance of scattered showers - not much to deter Le Tick.  Food, Beverages, (Minor and Adult kind), swag, trophiies etc - come on out!

Trail Update

Reviewed Trail last night - pretty darn good condition - normal rough & rocky spots but has held up well. Found a few sections that will need some love and a 12' section with 2" of standing water - bypass easy...

New trail course map is up - see below. Up to 6.8 miles all single track added!

Wow - good thing race wasn't scheduled for this past weekend!
We will be doing trail work Tues. & Thurs. of this week with initial marking taking place on Friday.
