It is with great disappointment to have to make this announcement. The Le Tour De Tic Mountain bike race will NOT be held this 2013 cycling season at Bicentennial Park in Neosho, MO.
The local Missouri Department of Conservation will not issue a permit for the race as it is not in their mission and the race as we have had there for years is actually not a approved event.
The trails are still maintained and ride-able by Rick Keezer and the trail crew. The trail will not go away and can still be used for recreational use only, not organized events.
Keep checking back, we are actively looking for an alternate race location to hold this event.
The Missouri Trails Society and the event name "Le Tour De Tic" have been secured and will remain an active not for profit organization and event. We just have to come up with a new home.
Thank you to all who have participated in the past 20 years of this race!

If I may... The local MDC has approved this event each year for over 18 years - by virtue of providing a formal, legal permit each year. The awesome trail crew headed by Mr. Keezer has even been awarded certificates of accomplishment for their rebuilding work after two devastating ice storms – the only volunteers were mountain bike riders…
The management entities of the MDC that have made this decision need to severely rethink their position on this wonderful, local, beneficial event.
p.s. This is not Rick’s mom.
So is this event still cancelled or have we found a new home?
Yes Michael! The Missouri Trails Society is actively pursuing a new home for the race, Le Tour De Tic. Time just won't allow for the race this year, 2013. Keep in touch for exciting news about 2014 race.
